The taxonomy is displayed in the laboratory simultaneously as a traditional rank-based list but also as a tree structure that branches to show the relationships among the different taxa. The lab is divided into the rank-based list and a tree, which can be viewed either horizontally or vertically. Taxa in either the rank list or the tree can be clicked on to reveal the defined traits in the Traits section in Live Data.
