- Adjusted the vertical spacing of several pages in the portal to allow more information to be displayed.
- Removed the display of lists of information in pages so information is in one scrollable list.
- Added new Activities for Kinetics & Beer's Law experiments
In the Quantum Lab Bench
- Added the ability to study the kinetics of the crystal violet reaction with OH- via a spectroscopic absorption experiment as a function of time.
- Added the ability to perform Beer’s law experiments.
- The liquid samples in the stockroom for absorption experiments have been divided into the sub categories of Pure Liquids, Kinetics, and Beer’s Law.
- For Gas and Liquid absorption experiments, the spectrometer data can now be displayed as Intensity (%Transmittance/100) or Absorbance.
- For kinetics experiments, the time vs. intensity/absorbance can be saved to the lab book for a selected wavelength.
- Practice and Assigned unknowns can be created for Beer’s Law experiments.
- For Beer’s law experiments, Fe(SCN)^2+ sample is available where students can measure the equilibrium constant for Fe(SCN)^2+ formation.
